NBBF League: Oluyole Warriors, Ebun Comets secure Top Four spot in Ibadan on Day 6

The Ebun Comets Basketball Club of Lagos secured a spot in the top four on Day 6 in the Ibadan Centre of the Atlantic Conference playoffs organized by the Nigeria Basketball Federation.
Under the guidance of Coach Ayo Bakare, despite losing the fourth quarter, they secured their fourth win in the playoffs with a 72-61 victory over crowd favorites Hoops & Reads.
In the highly anticipated match of the day, the Comets came into the game refreshed after a day off on Thursday and won the first, second, and third quarters.
With this win, the former Premier League champions now lead the Ibadan Centre of the Atlantic Conference with 9 points and a better point advantage. They have won four games and suffered one defeat in their opening game of the season against Kwara Falcons.
On the other hand, Hoops and Reads have had a different campaign, with three wins and two losses.
In the second game of the day, the Oluyole Warriors also secured a spot in the next phase of the league with a comprehensive 84-45 victory over the Invaders of Ekiti.
The Warriors dominated the game from the start, winning the first quarter 18-17. They extended their lead in the second quarter, scoring 31 points compared to the Invaders' 9.
The third and fourth quarters also ended in favor of the Oluyole Warriors, who have now won four games and lost one.
This victory was enough to mathematically secure the Warriors a spot in the next phase of the league.
The Invaders of Ekiti remain winless after five games and are at the bottom of the standings.
In the third game of the day, Impressions Academy recorded their second win in five games with a 57-43 victory over the Ondo Raiders, who have now lost five games and secured one win in six games.
The first phase of the Atlantic Conference in Ibadan will conclude tomorrow on Saturday with three important games. Kwara Falcons will aim to top the table with a win against Impressions at 8:00 a.m.
The second game of the final day is between Ebun Comets and the winless Invaders at 10:00 a.m, while Hoops & Reads will aspire to secure a spot in the next stage with a win against the Oluyole Warriors at 12:00 noon.
