NBBF invites U-16 male, female players to open trials in Lagos and Abuja

Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), has reaffirmed its commitments to the development of basketball in Nigeria, by inviting prospective U-16 male and female basketball players across the country for open trials.
The open trials is meant to select players for the country’s cadet teams, scheduled to hold in Abuja and Lagos, respectively.
The planned screening exercise has been described by stakeholders and enthusiasts of the game, as a well-timed youth development programme.
The programme will further boost the country’s pool of talents.
The programme will begin at the Outdoor Court, MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, between May 25-27, 2023, while the train will move to the Outdoor Court, National Institute of Sports, National Stadium, Lagos on June 1-3.
According to a statement by the Secretary-General of NBBF, Peter Njoku, the invitation to participate in the screening exercises is open to all state basketball associations, clubs and individuals.
