NBA Round-Up: Cleveland Cavaliers Defeat Charlotte Hornets After a Comeback Courtesy of Donovan Mitchell

The Hornets were defeated when Donovan Mitchell's squad overcame a 16-point deficit with 23 points. The Knicks defeated the Lakers, and the 76ers and Joel Embiid overcame the Wizards in other games.
 
The New York Knicks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 112-108 on Sunday night to end their three-game losing streak. Julius Randle had 33 points in a comeback effort, and RJ Barrett scored 20 of his 30 points in the second half.
 
Without their second-leading scorer Jalen Brunson, who has a bruised left foot, the Knicks managed to split the weekend in Los Angeles thanks to Immanuel Quickley's 15 points and a fierce late Lakers comeback.
 
In spite of scoring just two points in the fourth quarter, D'Angelo Russell had a season-high 33 points and eight assists for the Lakers, who suffered just their fourth loss in 12 games since the trade deadline, snapping a three-game winning run. Russell claimed that the Knicks' trap defense presented a challenge for the Lakers in the fourth quarter.
