NBA: Philadelphia 76ers beat Celtics, Nuggets take 2-0 lead over Suns

In the opening game of their Eastern Conference semifinal, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Boston Celtics 119-115. James Harden served as an inspiration for the team.
At the TD Garden in Boston, Harden scored 45 points, including a three-pointer with eight seconds left that gave the 76ers the lead.
"He was awesome," said Sixers coach Doc Rivers.
"Kept his cool, knew when to attack, knew when to give it up."

"He had just the perfect mindset," said Rivers. "I'm so happy for him because it just tells you what he can do on a given night.
"It's amazing - the guy's a Hall-of-Famer and all you hear is the other stuff about him. He's fantastic."
In the Western Conference, Nikola Jokic led the Denver Nuggets to a 97-87 victory against the Phoenix Suns and a 2-0 series lead with 39 points.
"Nikola's an MVP for a reason. He can take over a game. He can beat you in a lot of ways. I love an aggressive Nikola Jokic," said Nuggets coach Michael Malone.
In a game in which defenses predominated at the Ball Arena in Denver, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 14 points and Aaron Gordon added 16 for the Nuggets.
The Suns, who lost Chris Paul to a groin injury in the third quarter, were led by Devin Booker's 35 points and Kevin Durant's 24 points.
On Saturday, Phoenix will host the third game.
