NBA: On His Eight-Game Comeback, Ja Morant Assists the Memphis Grizzlies in Their Victory Over the Houston Rockets

Ja Morant, a guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, claimed that after serving an eight-game suspension, the response of the crowd was really helpful to him.

The NBA suspended 23-year-old Morant without pay after a video showed him in a Colorado nightclub with a gun.

On Wednesday, he came off the bench as the Grizzlies won 130-125 over the Houston Rockets to win the Southwest Division.
"It felt good to be back, super excited. Glad we were able to get the win," said Morant.
"Once I got out there on the court and saw the fans' reaction to me being back, it definitely helped me a lot. Made me feel good inside," he added.

He was allowed to play against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, but he chose not to.
Against the Rockets, Morant played 24 minutes and recorded a final stat line of 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.
