NBA: Miami Heat defeats Boston Celtics in the series opener, with Jimmy Butler in spotlight

Following his contribution to another Miami Heat victory in the NBA playoffs
Known as "play-off Jimmy" because of his propensity to outperform opponents in the postseason, the 33-year-old player.
And in game one of the Eastern Conference finals, Butler once more sparkled as the Heat defeated the Boston Celtics 123-116.
"I'm playing at an incredible level because they are allowing me to do so and not putting a limit on my game," said Butler, who scored 35 points.
"They are trusting me with the ball and on the defensive end, and I think that's what any basketball player wants.
"What anyone wants in life is to be wanted, to be appreciated and just let you go out there and rock."
For Miami, Butler added a total of seven assists, six steals, and five rebounds as the team advanced to the conference finals for the first time since 1999.
At the end of the second quarter, the Heat was behind by 13 points, and at halftime, they were down 66-57 to second-seeded Boston.
Bam Adebayo added 20 points, and they outscored the hosts 46-25 in the third quarter to grab a 12-point lead.
For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown contributed 22 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in addition to Jayson Tatum's 30 points and seven rebounds.
On Friday in Boston, game two of the best-of-seven series will be played.
