The NBA draft this week has fans eagerly anticipating where Bronny James, son of LeBron James, will land. The first-round draft kicks off on Wednesday, June 26, followed by the second round on Thursday, June 27.

 

Speculation abounds that the Los Angeles Lakers might select Bronny, potentially uniting him with his father for LeBron's anticipated final season on the court. At 19 years old, Bronny recently completed his freshman year at the University of Southern California Trojans, where he averaged 4.8 points and 2.1 assists per game.

 

Unlike his towering father, standing at 6ft 9in and holding the NBA's top all-time scoring record, Bronny stands at 6ft 1in and is recognized more for his defensive skills. Nevertheless, as the son of a four-time NBA champion and MVP, Bronny's journey has drawn significant media scrutiny, amplified by his 7.7 million Instagram followers.

 

Despite his celebrity status, Bronny has faced challenges, notably a cardiac arrest during training last July due to a congenital heart defect. He received medical clearance to resume playing in November, marking a pivotal moment in his basketball career.
