The Boston Celtics were on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs until the Philadelphia 76ers defeated them 115-103, with Joel Embiid scoring 30 points for the third straight game.
Philadelphia, who is ahead 3-2 in the best-of-seven series, was led by Embiid's 33 points and Tyrese Maxey's 30 points.
"It's not over. We have to get one more. We have to show up," Embiid said.
"What we did tonight, it's easier said than done, but we have to do it again."
The only players in team history to have more straight 30-point games in the postseason than Embiid are Allen Iverson (five in 2001) and Wilt Chamberlain (four in 1965).
On Thursday, the 76ers may triumph in Philadelphia. If they succeed, it would be the first time since 2001 that they have made it to the conference finals.
The 76ers never trailed after the first quarter as they moved to 4-1 on the road in the postseason. Jayson Tatum led Boston in scoring with 36 points, while Jaylen Brown added 24.
