It's all Nigerian affairs as Customs, MFM to play in set for Semifinal clash in Zonal Africa Women’s Basketball League

One of the semifinals of the ongoing FIBA Africa Zone 3 Women’s Club Basketball Qualifying will feature an all-Nigerian affair.


Nigeria Customs and Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) will clash on Saturday, Nov. 9, in the last-four tie scheduled for the Samuel Kanyan Doe Gym in Paynesville, Liberia.

The red-hot Customs finished top of Group B after annihilating the Commissioners of Liberia 77-18 today to remain unbeaten.


Nigeria champions MFM ended in second place in the three-team Group A following a 1-1 win-loss record.


Ivorian powerhouses Friends Basketball Association (FBA) clinched the top spot in the group after a 109-29 hammering of hosts Invincible Eleven to stay unbeaten.


In the first semifinal, FBA will face Energie Basketball of Benin Republic, while the matchup between MFM and Customs will tip off at 7:30 PM Nigeria time.


The top two teams in the competition will represent Zone 3 in the revamped Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA).
