LeBron James to Lead Team USA as Male Flagbearer at Paris Olympics

LeBron James has been chosen as the male flagbearer for Team USA at the upcoming Olympic Games opening ceremony, set for Friday. The 39-year-old NBA superstar was selected by his fellow American Olympians for this prestigious role. The decision on the female flagbearer is expected to be announced shortly.

 

James, who has previously earned two gold medals, will be participating in his fourth Olympics in Paris. He expressed his honor at representing the United States on such a significant global platform, emphasizing how much this role means to him, his family, and his community.

 

Throughout his Olympic career, James has secured a bronze medal in Athens in 2004, followed by gold medals in Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012. The opening ceremony, which will take place along the River Seine, marks a historic first as it will be held outside the main stadium.
