Kings Boost Playoff Hopes with Comeback Win Over Pistons

The Sacramento Kings strengthened their NBA playoff chances with a 127-117 victory over the Detroit Pistons, thanks to stellar performances from Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan. LaVine scored 43 points while DeRozan added 37, leading the Kings to come back from an 18-point deficit and secure their third consecutive win.

 

With the victory, the Kings remain in ninth place in the Western Conference, one game ahead of the Dallas Mavericks.

 

The NBA play-in tournament, which runs from April 15-18, involves the teams finishing seventh through tenth in each conference. Sacramento's only remaining competition for a play-in spot is the 11th-place Phoenix Suns, who are three wins behind with four regular-season games left.

 

In the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat, already assured of a play-in spot, triumphed 117-105 against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers, who have been eliminated from playoff contention, endured their 12th consecutive defeat.
