Ja Morant Won't Be Prosecuted for Allegedly Brandishing a Gun

After the Washington Post reported that Ja Morant got into a brawl with a 17-year-old last summer, the NBA looked into a video showing him holding a gun; the incident in the gun video won't result in charges against Morant.
Ja Morant, a guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, won't be charged in Colorado for the live-streamed video in which he looked to be holding a gun in a strip club, according to authorities.
According to the Glendale Police Department, it investigated into the Instagram video that Morant posted that appeared to show him brandishing a gun but found no evidence that a crime had been committed.
However, the Grizzlies have stated that he “will continue to remain away from the team for at least the next four games.”
“In this case, it should be noted that on the night in question, the GPD did not receive any calls for service at the nightclub regarding a weapon of any type” police clarified.
“Subsequently, no disturbances were reported, and no citizens or patrons of the club came forward to make a complaint.
“The investigation also concluded that no one was threatened or menaced with the firearm and in fact no firearm was ever located.”
Despite stating that it is also looking into the situation, the NBA has not yet stated any punishment or sanction Morant.
Morant has made no more comments, and the Grizzlies have not disclosed what actions he is pursuing or the reason why he is looking for assistance.
