Gilgeous-Alexander Leads Thunder to Dominant Win Over Cavaliers

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered an outstanding performance, leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a dominant 134-114 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, avenging their defeat from the previous week. The 26-year-old guard scored 40 points in just 29 minutes, playing a key role in overwhelming the Cavaliers at the Paycom Centre in Oklahoma City.

 

Gilgeous-Alexander was well-supported by teammates, with Luguentz Dort contributing 22 points and Jalen Williams adding 19 points. The impressive win left both teams with identical 34-6 records, each sitting atop their respective conferences.

 

Reflecting on the victory, Gilgeous-Alexander noted the significance of competing against the best, saying, "It's the cream of the crop and obviously you want to test yourself against the best to find out where you really are. We tested ourselves and I think we passed."

 

In other NBA action, DeMar DeRozan scored 31 points to help the Sacramento Kings snap the Houston Rockets' five-game winning streak with a 132-127 victory. Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns triumphed over the Washington Wizards, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Detroit Pistons, and the Los Angeles Clippers dominated the Portland Trail Blazers.
