EuroBasket Women Tournament: Hungary beat Serbia 81-75, secures spot in quarter-finals

In the EuroBasket Women tournament, Hungary delivered a stunning upset by defeating reigning champions Serbia, securing a spot in the Quarter-Finals. Led by Virag Kiss's outstanding performance of 21 points and 11 rebounds, Hungary claimed an impressive 81-75 victory. Serbia will now face Great Britain in the Qualification for the Quarter-Finals.
In another surprise, Slovakia bounced back from two initial defeats to defeat Turkey 80-66, securing a place in the Qualification for the Quarter-Finals against Germany and eliminating Turkey from the tournament.
Meanwhile, Belgium maintained their unbeaten record by defeating Italy 72-64 in a hard-fought contest. This victory ensured Belgium's place in the Quarter-Finals for the fourth consecutive time since their return to the competition in 2017.
Julie Vanloo contributed 23 points, Emma Meesseman added 20 points and 9 rebounds, and Julie Allemand provided 11 assists for the winning team. Italy finished in third place in Group B, as Czech Republic secured second place with a 61-52 win against Israel, who ended their tournament without a victory.
In other matches, Spain rebounded from an initial loss to Latvia to advance to the Semi-Finals by defeating Greece 76-60. Montenegro secured a memorable victory over Latvia, winning 61-58 with an extraordinary performance from Natasha Mack, who recorded 22 points and 20 rebounds.
Germany secured second place in Group C with a narrow 62-61 victory over Great Britain, while Slovenia concluded their tournament with a valiant effort but suffered a 73-68 defeat against unbeaten France.
