NBA Highlights: Durant shines in Suns' win, Doncic’s triple-double dominance, Jokic leads Nuggets' comeback

Posted : 12 March 2024

In a night of NBA action, Kevin Durant showcased his scoring prowess with 37 points, leading the Phoenix Suns to victory against Cleveland. Meanwhile, Luka Doncic recorded another triple-double as the Dallas Mavericks handed the Chicago Bulls a crushing 35-point loss. Golden State, missing the injured Steph Curry, overcame San Antonio, and Denver, behind Nikola Jokic's triple-double, mounted a comeback from 22 points down to defeat Toronto.

Denver's Nikola Jokic secured his 21st triple-double of the season, guiding the Nuggets to a 125-119 victory over Toronto. Despite trailing by 22 points in the second quarter, Denver narrowed the gap, ultimately sealing the win with a late 0-8 run. Jokic's stellar performance included 35 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists.

In a dominant display, the Dallas Mavericks outclassed the Chicago Bulls with a 127-92 victory. Luka Doncic contributed another triple-double, recording 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 14 assists, leading Dallas to their third consecutive win. The Bulls struggled to contain the Mavericks, with Onoralp Bitim leading Chicago's scorers with 17 points off the bench.

Despite the absence of injured star Klay Thompson, the Golden State Warriors defeated the San Antonio Spurs 112-102. Jonathan Kominga's 22 points and a strong third-quarter performance secured the victory for Golden State. The French rookie Victor Wombenyama's impressive 27 points and 14 rebounds for the Spurs were not enough to secure a win.

Phoenix Suns, led by Kevin Durant's 37 points and Devin Booker's 27 in his comeback, secured a 117-111 victory over Cleveland. The Suns mounted a comeback after trailing by 19 points, showcasing resilience and team effort. Darius Garland's notable 30 points for Cleveland could not prevent the Suns from returning to the winning column.

In other games, the Boston Celtics claimed a 121-99 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Detroit Pistons defeated the Charlotte Hornets 114-97. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 27 and 26 points, respectively, while Cade Cunningham's 22 points guided the Pistons to a convincing win over the Hornets.
