Croatia secures promotion to top flight with FIBA U18 Women's European Championship 2023, Division B victory

Croatia emerged as the champions of the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship 2023, Division B after a dominant performance in the Final, defeating Luxembourg 93-66. Their victory secured their promotion to the top flight for next summer.

Petra Bozan once again showcased her talent, contributing 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists in the Final, earning her a well-deserved spot in the All-Star Five.

Lucija Banovic and Nina Novak also made impressive contributions with 25 and 21 points respectively.
 
Despite the loss in the Final, Faith Ehi Etute of Luxembourg had a remarkable tournament and was named the MVP. In the Final, she put up incredible numbers with 23 points, 23 rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 steals, solidifying her status as a standout player.

It was a bittersweet moment for Luxembourg as they settled for silver, securing their first-ever medal in the competition.
 
Greece secured the bronze medal with a convincing 68-44 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina. They raced to a 21-6 lead in the opening quarter and maintained their dominance throughout the game.

Lydia Chatira and Angeliki Zlaka led Greece's charge with a combined 36 points, with Zlaka also contributing 4 steals. Bosnia and Herzegovina struggled with turnovers and inefficient shooting, with only Jana Guska reaching double-figures with 11 points.
 
In other matches, Slovakia claimed 5th place with a 68-43 victory over Ireland, propelled by a dominant third quarter. Iceland defeated Bulgaria 86-69 in the battle for 7th place, with Sara Boama delivering an impressive performance of 14 points and 15 rebounds. Netherlands secured a narrow 66-64 victory over Ukraine to claim 9th place.

Estonia locked down Great Britain with a 53-40 win to secure 11th place, led by Marta Jaama's excellent performance of 18 points, 6 assists, and 6 steals. Sweden sealed 13th place with a 77-62 victory over Denmark, driven by Tilda Trygger's 28 points and 9 rebounds.
 
Austria claimed 15th place with an 81-74 victory over North Macedonia, featuring double-doubles from Anna Alborova and Iva Sanseovic. Finally, Romania avoided bottom spot by defeating Norway 80-67 to secure 17th place, with Ilinca Belegante's impressive 28-point performance leading the way.
