China International Basketball Tour: D'Tigers lose against U.S.

Nigeria’s latest encounter in the international basketball tour of China ended on a losing streak.

The Nigerian men’s national basketball team, DTigers narrowly lost 74-75 to Team USA, making it a second successive loss to the Americans.

Sandwiching the two losses to the Americans is an 83-53 victory by Nigeria over Serbia and an earlier 75-70 win over same USA.

After the China Tour, the Nigerian team led by coach AbdulRahman Mohammed will arrive the country on October 24.

According to the Nigeria Basketball Federation NBBF, the competition will afford the home lads the necessary exposure required for their development.

Meanwhile, the NBBF has fixed a date for the Final 4 Women’s Basketball League in Lagos.

MFM and Bayelsa Blue Whales progressed from the just ended Atlantic Conference in Asaba Delta State while reigning champions Air Warriors and Nigeria Customs will represent Savannah Conference.

The finals 4 tournament will tip off on October 15 until 19 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National stadium, Lagos.
