2024 NBBF Basketball League Match Day 4: Rivers Hoopers crush Lagos Legends

Rivers Hoopers crushed Lagos Legends 102-46 to claim their fifth consecutive win in the Atlantic Conference of the 2024 Nigeria Premier Basketball League in Benin on Thursday.


Abel Offia scored 23 points, Ifeanyi Koko scored 19, and Ikenna Okpaluba added 10 points. Offia also made six three-pointers in a game they dominated with ease.

The Chief of Defence Staff Basketball Championship (CDS) MVP scored six points in the first quarter, giving Hoopers an early 24-5 lead.


He later added eight points, including consecutive treys, to help the KingsMen extend their lead to 51-23 by halftime.


The Legends, who played with only a seven-man rotation, struggled to keep up with Hoopers in the second half.


With 40 seconds left to play, Offia hit a corner three, bringing Rivers Hoopers to their first 100-point game of the conference.


Rivers Hoopers will face Kwara Falcons on Friday at 2 p.m.
