Tony International Gymnastics (TIG) from Nigeria achieved an impressive feat at the 25th Gymstar International Club World Championship in Malta, securing a total of 22 medals.

The talented gymnasts, competing against 198 athletes from 15 countries, showcased their skills and determination to claim 8 gold, 8 silver, and 6 bronze medals.

The outstanding performances came from four exceptional gymnasts: Francisca Okpanko and Adeela Adedeji both secured 2 gold and 2 silver medals, Nmesoma Okafor achieved 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze, while Chimamanda Okafor earned 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.

In the category D, Semilore Adeoye and Angela Marononi each secured a gold medal, and Chiwendu Okpanku excelled with a remarkable achievement, winning the best all-around (Gold) on vault, along with 3 bronze medals in floor, beam, and bars.

Anthony Asuquo, the founder of Tony International Gymnastics, praised the young gymnasts for their exceptional competitiveness and expressed confidence in their potential to represent Nigeria at prestigious events such as the African, Commonwealth, and Olympic Games.

He commended the girls for putting both the club and the country on the map, as TIG became the first African club to participate in the Gymstar International Club World Championship.

Asuquo's optimism about their future prospects indicates his belief that these young athletes are hungry for glory and have the determination to achieve remarkable success in the international gymnastics arena.
