The Nigerian delegation to the program is being led by the Secretary General of Pro-Wrestling Africa (PWA), Olusesan Olukoya, whose organization is facilitating the two-day event.
Samuel Omare Omene Johnson of Nigeria, known around the pro wrestling world as Jimmy Palm “De African Dream,” will be leading the training crew and will be supported by other experienced wrestlers such as Samson “De Miser” from Ghana and Iron Lady Becky and Alexander De Queen. A veteran journalist, Ifeanyi Eduzor, is also part of the delegation.
According to the event schedule released by the organizers, arrival is on Friday, November 15, with training taking place on Saturday, November 16, while departure will be on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
To ensure a smooth program, PWA had earlier donated T-shirts, banners, exercise books, and other writing materials to the host country.
Meanwhile, the President of FEBECATCH, Oke Ezechiel, First Vice President Wanvoegbe Germain, and Secretary Bissi Mohinou have all promised participants that they will receive the best hospitality that the French-speaking country is known for, and they stated that wrestlers in the country are eagerly awaiting the commencement of the training program.
“We’re all excited that for the first time, our country will be hosting a training program for all wrestlers in the West African sub-region. Our promise is that we’re ready to treat all the participants with the best hospitality our country is known for.
“It’s equally important that we commend Pro-Wrestling Africa for its efforts in developing the mat game in all countries of the continent. We at Benin Republic will fully embrace the sport to keep our youth engaged,” they concluded.
