The sports and their respective number of contingents include Para Athletics (5), Para Badminton (2), Para Powerlifting (9), and Para Table Tennis (8).
The contingent will depart for Saarbrücken, Germany, in two batches for a training tour. The first batch will depart on Monday, August 12, while the second batch will leave on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
Meanwhile, the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria (PCN) is preparing a documentary for Team Nigeria's Para athletes ahead of their training tour.
President of the PCN, Sunday Odebode, stated that the two-day documentary will take place between August 12 and 13, 2024. Odebode explained that the documentary is another way of showcasing the potential of Nigeria's Paralympic athletes as they head to Paris.
He has been visiting the athletes in camp to donate items to boost their well-being. Nigeria has participated in every edition of the Summer Paralympics, winning a total of 80 medals.
At the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games, Nigeria won 10 medals (4 gold, 1 silver, and 5 bronze).
