Nigeria's Field Star, Onyekwere vows to make third Olympics appearance special

Top Nigerian field athlete and member of Team Nigeria, Chioma Onyekwere, has expressed her excitement as she gets the nod to feature in her third Olympics appearance at the Paris 2024 Olympics.


The excited discus thrower, Onyekwere, has vowed to make this third Olympics appearance more special, with an eye on a podium finish.


Onyekwere was surprised to have made the list after her disappointing outing in the 2024 African Athletics Championship in Douala, Cameroon.


Reacting to the development, she expressed her happiness and gratitude to her fans.


“I am a two-time Olympian. I have been officially selected for the Paris Olympic Games this summer. After Tokyo, I was unsure if I would continue on this journey back to the Olympics. I would not be here without my community empowering me to keep going. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the years. Your kindness and words of encouragement did not go unheard or unnoticed. 


"We did it; God did it. I earned this, and God is not done with me yet," she said.
