Nigeria's Enekwechi sets new indoor Africa record in style

Nigeria's Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has set a new African record in Shot Put, throwing a distance of 21.63 m in the men's Shot Put event at Hvezdy v. Nehvizdech in the Czech Republic.


Nigeria's shot put star, Enekwechi, has thereby set a new indoor African Record.


The accomplished athlete threw a distance of 21.63 m in the men's Shot Put event at Hvezdy v. Nehvizdech in the Czech Republic.


He broke the indoor African Record of 21.47 m that has stood since 2001, set by Janus Roberts of South Africa.


Enekwechi also put together his best series ever in the event, going over 21 meters on every attempt: 21.32 m, 21.63 m, 21.57 m, 21.52 m, and 21.11 m.


Enekwechi is one of Nigeria's medal hopefuls in the upcoming 2023 Africa Games scheduled to take place in Ghana next month.
