Olympic silver medalist for Great Britain Mike McFarlane passed away at the age of 63.
At the Seoul 1988 Olympics, McFarlane was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that took home silver.
He shared the gold medal in the 200 metres in the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane before adding the 4x100-meter relay silver and 100-meter bronze four years later.
In 1985, he also prevailed in Athens in the European Indoor 60m Championship.
He was a member of a relay team that won a silver medal in Seoul with a personal best time of 10.22 seconds in the 100 metres, which also comprised Elliot Bunney, John Regis, and Linford Christie.
Jodie Williams and Desiree Henry were two of the more recent Olympic competitors on Team GB who he coached after quitting sports.
"Our thoughts are with his family, friends, athletes and fellow coaches," England Athletics said.
