At the Loughborough International, Katarina Johnson-Thompson won two competitions.
The 2019 global heptathlon winner finished the 100-meter hurdles in 13.73 seconds, 0.8 seconds faster than Mia McIntosh but 0.64 seconds slower than her personal best.
As England won the 4x400m relay, she also managed to stave off the pursuers while running the second leg.
The 30-year-old competed for the first time since taking home the gold in the heptathlon at the Commonwealth Games in August.
Johnson-Thompson competed in the shot put as well, placing ninth with a throw of 13.13 metres, 4.12 metres behind the champion Amelia Strickler and 0.73 metres short of her career best.
She participated in the relay alongside Ama Pipi, Poppy Malik, and Louise Evans. The team finished first in three minutes, 37.03 seconds.
The 65th Loughborough International Athletics meet, which is regarded as the start of the outdoor season, took place on Sunday at Paula Radcliffe Stadium.
Johnson-Thompson will be attempting to improve on her successes and earn entry at the World Championships, which are held in Budapest from August 19–27.
The Hypo-Meeting in Austria the following weekend is her next trip.
