Karsten Warholm and Jakob Ingebrigtsen win Oslo Diamond League

At the Oslo Diamond League, Norwegian athletes Karsten Warholm and Jakob Ingebrigtsen delivered exceptional performances in front of their home crowd. Meanwhile, British sprinters Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita achieved a tied fourth-place finish in the women's 100m event.
 
Warholm, competing in the 400m hurdles, recorded an impressive time of 46.52 seconds at the Bislett Stadium, securing the fourth-fastest time ever recorded in this event. The crowd was electrified by his dominant victory.
 
Ingebrigtsen further delighted the spectators by setting a new European record in the men's 1500m, completing the race in an outstanding time of three minutes and 27.95 seconds.
 
In the women's 100m, Asher-Smith and Neita both crossed the finish line in 10.98 seconds, resulting in a shared fourth-place finish. The event was won by Marie-Josee Ta Lou, representing Ivory Coast, who set a world-leading time of 10.75 seconds. Anthonique Strachan from the Bahamas finished second, and Jamaica's Shericka Jackson was awarded third place, with the same time as the two British athletes.
 
Asher-Smith's performance matched her season-opening time in Doha, as she continues to prepare for the World Championships in August. Neita also achieved her second sub-11 second race of the year, while Imani-Lara Lansiquot completed the race in 11.10 seconds, finishing in seventh place.
 
Warholm, the current world record holder in the 400m hurdles, left no doubt about his form as he comfortably dominated the competition in his season opener. His performance set the stage for Ingebrigtsen, who subsequently made history by becoming the first European athlete to complete the 1500m in under 3 minutes and 28 seconds.
 
In the men's 1500m, the top eight athletes all finished the race in under 3 minutes and 30 seconds, showcasing the high level of competition. British runners Josh Kerr and Neil Gourley secured the ninth and tenth positions with times of 3:30.07 and 3:30.88, respectively.
