Kano ready for medals in Asaba - Ag. Chairman

As the 7th edition of the national youth games fully commenced at the capital city of Asaba, Delta State, Kano athletes have assured their readiness to perfprm actively to lift the image of the state.

The Acting Chairman of the Kano State Sports Commission Malam Bala Sani Shehu disclosed this in an interview on the sidelines of the opening ceremony.

He added that the state government has made adequate arrangements both financially and morale to the athletes and officials to achieve the set objectives.

``Our athletes and officials have made a promise to be good ambassador of the state, therefore the state team are expected to do the entire people of the state proud.

The chairman further said the state was represented by 134 athletes competing in 19 different sporting events in the youth games, while commending the state government for its commitments to the development of sports in the Kano State.
