Essential staff and support were also rewarded with one hundred thousand naira, while helpers received the same amount.

Governor Diri, while congratulating the athletes, stated that their triumph in Abuja has brought a positive image to the state. He expressed continuous commitment to prioritizing the welfare of athletes and emphasized that the achievement by Team Bayelsa proves the state's dominance in para games, describing it as a State monopoly. He urged them not to rest on their laurels.

The governor emphasized that a just society gives premium attention to those who are challenged, emphasizing that there should be no discrimination between physically challenged and able-bodied athletes.

Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Chief Daniel Igali, commended the para athletes for making Bayelsa proud, considering them the country's best.
