European Athletics U23 Championships: Ditaji Kambundji wins gold in 100m hurdles, Besana, Carraro, Toth close

In the 100m hurdles final, Ditaji Kambundji of Switzerland claimed gold with a championship record of 12.68 seconds. Italy's Veronica Besana was in close contention but fell after hitting the penultimate hurdle. Elena Carraro took the silver with 12.97 seconds, and Anna Toth won the bronze in a photo finish with the same time.
 
Ukraine's Artur Felfner dominated the men's javelin competition, securing victory with a throw of 82.32m in the third round. He extended his lead with an impressive final-round throw of 83.04m. Finland's Topias Laine delighted the home crowd by taking silver with a best throw of 79.77m, and Italy's Michele Laino won the bronze with a personal best of 77.23m.
 
The women's 10,000m witnessed an exciting battle between Great Britain's Alice Goodall and Spain's Sara Nestola. Goodall pushed the pace and managed to maintain a five-meter lead over Nestola to claim gold with a time of 33:16.45. Nestola finished closely behind in 33:17.15, earning the silver, while another Italian, Aurora Bado, secured the bronze in 34:12.75.
 
Tizian Lauria of Germany won the men's shot put with a lifetime best throw of 19.80m, pushing his teammate Eric Maihofer to second place with 19.44m. Muhamet Ramadani won Kosovo's first-ever medal at the championships, taking the bronze with a throw of 19.20m.
 
In the men's high jump, Turkiye's Ali Eren Ünlü overcame initial difficulties and cleared 2.15m on his third attempt. He gained momentum with a first-time clearance at 2.19m, eventually winning gold. Ukraine's Oleh Doroshchuk and Roman Petruk shared the silver on countback after both failed at 2.22m.
