Enugu Govt. constitutes LOC for 2026 NSF

Fast-rising sports administrator Blessing Chisalam Ekwe has been named a member of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 23rd National Sports Festival, which will be hosted by Enugu State in 2026.


Blessing, who is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN), was named alongside other seasoned sports administrators as members of the LOC, which will be chaired by the Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu Jr.


This latest appointment further strengthens her profile as one of Nigeria's rapidly growing female sports administrators.


Blessing is a passionate sports enthusiast who specialized in various ball games during her playing days and is now an accomplished sports scientist, holding a master’s degree in Sports Management.


She is also a licensed and certified football agent by the world football governing body, FIFA.


She is expected to bring her wealth of experience and expertise to bear as Enugu State aims to stage a world-class event when it hosts the 23rd edition of the National Sports Festival in 2026.
