AFN Golden League: Odivwri Laura sets new PB with 1.75m High Jump

Bronze Medalist at the last National Youth Games in Ilorin Kwara state with a jump of 1.70m in High Jump, Odivwri Laura, today broke her own record jump new PB when she jumped a new height of 1.75m at the ongoing Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) Golden League inside the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium Benin city Edo state.

Laura who is a high school graduate said she had put in enough training ahead of her event today and she is elated with her new PB.

"First of all, I feel very grateful to God, because without him I might not be here today, and the training I have put in the last few months with my coach are very critical to me, and today it has paid off."

The Delta-born high jumper declared that her new PB today is a pointer of what the world should be looking out for from her.

"I want to work harder and smarter because there are more heights I want to reach, and I know it won't be easy, but I can assure you that with more training and determination, the world will hear of me sooner," She concluded.
