Team Kwara continues its impressive performance at the ongoing National Youth Games (NYG24) in Asaba, Delta State, adding more medals to its haul.
Khadijat Durosinlohun, Aisha AbdulRaheem, and Loveth Balogun secured another gold in the squash team event, defeating Team Lagos in a dominant display.
Ibrahim Ayo clinched bronze in the boys' badminton singles, while Gbotemi Adekunle advanced to the girls' singles final after defeating a Team Lagos opponent in the semifinals.
With these latest achievements, Kwara State has surpassed its 2023 record, now boasting 12 gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze medals.
The closing ceremony is set for Friday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, beginning at 1 p.m.
It will feature a march-past and a musical concert.
The event will be graced by the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, the Minister of Sports Development, Sen. Owan Enoh, members of the Delta State Executive Council, and the Delta State House of Assembly, among others.
