2023/2024 NPFL Match Day 9: Shooting Stars SC welcomes old foe Kano Pillars to Ibadan

Perhaps it will be among the top matches to watch out for in the fixtures of Match Day 9 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL); Shooting Stars SC and Kano Pillars have a date in a rekindled fight in a tight space.

Both teams are well-known for their large fan bases; Shooting Stars SC is a beloved club in the Southwest, just as Kano Pillars is in the northern hemisphere.

The crunch tie is expected to be held at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, where host Shooting Stars have turned into a slaughter slab for visiting clubs.

For the match, the Oluyole Warriors will have to look for adequate replacements for their captain, Taofeek Malomo, who will be unavailable for the game due to suspension.

Shooting Stars almost secured a valuable away win last weekend against Kwara United but surrendered a last-minute penalty as the game ended 1-1.
