2023/2024 NPFL: Remo Stars Coach regret Rivers United defeat

Remo Stars coach Daniel Ogunmodede has regretted his club’s defeat to Rivers United in the rescheduled game played on Thursday.

Alex Oyowah put the host ahead in the 14th minute before former Remo Stars attacker Andy Okpe added the second goal to seal the game.

Ogunmodede and his boys secured a 2-1 win against Rangers last weekend and were hoping to consolidate on the game but it was never meant to be.

While reacting to the game, the coach said that was not the result they were willing to get but would use the experience gained to prosecute the subsequent matches.

“Though we hoped for a positive result in our first away game this season, we are determined to use this experience as a valuable lesson,” he said

Remo Stars will aim to bounce back when the match day 3 of the league resumes next weekend.
